Personal information practices

Know the difference between a draft kept in your browser and a message you choose to send.

Who is responsible

Ottercrimsonvally Sports Systems Ltd operates ottercrimsonvally.sbs. Its registered office is 26 Willow Terrace, Leeds LS6 3HJ, United Kingdom; company no. 15092764. Contact [email protected] about privacy or personal information.

Reading the website

The pages do not require an account. The supplied site code contains no analytics, advertising pixels, third-party embeds or remote font requests. Loading the website necessarily sends connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to the server that delivers it. Hosting infrastructure may generate security and access logs.

Technical information needed to deliver and protect the service is processed for the legitimate interests of operating a secure website. It should not be used to build advertising profiles. Access to operational information should be limited to those who need it for hosting, maintenance or security.

The local message tool

Typing into the Contact tool does not submit information to us. Its script prepares plain text in the current page; it does not store your draft in localStorage or send it over the network. Your browser may separately offer autofill or restore form contents according to your settings.

Copying places the draft on your device clipboard. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Clipboard history, downloads, shared-device access and any email application you subsequently use are under your control and may have their own privacy practices.

Messages you actually send

If you send an email, we receive your address, message and any information you include. We use correspondence to assess editorial points, respond where appropriate, maintain relevant records and address legal or security matters. The usual basis is our legitimate interest in managing correspondence; legal obligations may provide a separate basis where applicable.

Do not send sensitive personal data or private material about players, officials or other people unless it is necessary and you are entitled to share it. We do not sell correspondence or use it for unsolicited marketing. Publishing identifying excerpts would require a separate justification and, where appropriate, permission.

Browser preference storage

The preference control saves a single choice in your browser under ottercrimsonvally-consent. It records “accepted” or “essential” and does not contain your name or email. The website code does not activate optional tracking when you choose Accept. See Cookies for storage details and controls.

Recipients, retention and transfers

Hosting and email service providers may process information needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. Where a provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom, applicable transfer requirements and appropriate safeguards must be observed.

Correspondence should be kept only while needed for the enquiry, editorial record or applicable legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. There is no single retention period for every message because its purpose and any legal requirements differ. You can ask about information associated with your correspondence.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of personal information, object to processing and request portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

Contact us with enough detail to identify the relevant information, without sending unnecessary identification documents. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not use the site tools to make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

This notice should be read alongside the Terms and Cookies page. Material changes to how information is handled require a corresponding update to this notice.
